The Baxley & Appling County Hospital Authority is pleased to announce that Appling Healthcare’s Chief Nursing Officer Shannah Martin, RN, MSN, has been appointed as the Interim CEO. Shannah has nearly 17 years of experience in the healthcare industry as a nurse leader and clinical consultant.
Shannah has a Master of Science in Nursing Administration & Leadership from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South Georgia College. In addition, she received her Long Term Care administrator license this past year.
She is a graduate of the Leadership GHA Class of 2023-24, a prestigious and intensive healthcare leadership development program of the Georgia Hospital Association. She was one of only 23 hospital leaders from around the state accepted into the class session.
Shannah assumes the role of Interim CEO while continuing her current responsibilities as CNO.
