Appling Healthcare reports four cases of COVID-19 among residents at the Appling Nursing and Rehabilitation Pavilion and six cases of COVID-19 among employees. Additionally, Appling Healthcare reports one case of COVID-19 among hospital employees.
Based on recommendations from the Department of Public Health, the Pavilion will continue to be open for visits with residents.
Decisions regarding COVID-19 are also made in consultation with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services(CMS). Appling Healthcare and the Appling Nursing and Rehabilitation Pavilion will continue to monitor the CMS data on COVID-19 and will provide updates as they occur.
As a reminder, Appling Healthcare Emergency Department is not a COVID-19 testing site for the public. If you are not experiencing a medical emergency and would like a COVID-19 vaccine or test, call (855)473-4374. In Baxley, the Georgia Department of Public Health has partnered with LTS to offer free COVID-19 testing. The site is located behind Appling Healthcare at 163 E. Tollison Street (beside the city pool). Hours are Mondays, 8 to 11 a.m.; Wednesdays, 1 to 4 p.m.; and the third Saturday of every month from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. To register, visit https://honumg.info/LTSGA024.
